Griffin Armament
США
Добавлен 21 окт 2007
Griffin was founded by two brothers, combat vets from OIF. Both are Army Sniper qualified and have deployed numerous times overseas in the military and other govt capacities. Their time in govt. service left them both with hearing loss, driving them to manufacture silencers to protect the hearing of fellow shooters. Their knowledge in manufacturing, design, and understanding of silencer applications allows them to create industry leading silencers and firearm solutions.
The Strategic Importance of Manufacturing in America
In this video, Austin, lead engineer and owner of Griffin Armament, dives into the significance of American manufacturing and the current state of the industry. He explores major CNC brands like Mazak, Haas, Okuma, DMG Mori, and Doosan, highlighting their crucial roles in metal manufacturing and the reality that many of these crucial components are made outside of the United States. Austin also emphasizes the need to revive American pride in innovation and celebrates the often-overlooked contributions of manufacturing workers as the unsung heroes of our nation.

This modified RPD looks super cool!
Got him to curl his toes. Not in the good way. 😂
I personally think those with SOTs should only be allowed 3 transferable machine guns during their time with an FFL/SOT. You already got options most don’t. And assuming that RPD was transferable I can’t approve of cutting it. Unless you got an extra barrel and kept the original for a collector to reattach. Otherwise it’s a bit much as we lose machine guns every year with no replacement. It’s like you are already fortunate don’t get greedy please.
I’m curious how it functions with the barrel cut down versus standard?
Reduced range, more fireball at the muzzle, may or may not kick more. Would it be louder as well? I'm not sure, i've never fired one..chopped or standard, but it might be.
I was playing Hitman 3 and I got this RUclips short so random 😂
what trigger comes with these?
It's nice.
Such an excellent video...have both a Resistance 9 & a Dual-Lok 7 coming soon. Found the video to be very helpful in understanding all the options associated with the suppressor!!
Glad it was helpful!
Too bad California is a communist state and I can’t own a suppressor 😢
Any idea when youre going to get more assembled uppers up for sale on the website? There's no "Add to Cart" option currently.
Man I love this company. Doing shit because they can and helping people build something that would otherwise always be out of reach, short of winning the lottery. I've already got 1 GA can. I plan on buying many more. Thanks Griffin!
Thank you for the kind words!
Just curious how many baffles in the HRT-556 vs the DL 5? Thanks
HRT has one extra baffle than the Dual-Lok. Five baffles in the HRT-556, four in the Dual-Lok 5
He really said Chinese...
literally just bought a griffin mk2 lower today because im tired of all the busted QC in the industry.....I hope im not dissapointed!
Can i use .22 cal, 1/2x28 muzzle for this HRT7 and does it work well? how it will be the suppression of muzzle flash compare to HRT5 if i use 5.56 on this HRT7? Thank you
We haven't directly compared flash between the two platforms on 5.56, but the HRT lineup is designed to have minimal flash signature and overall great sound reduction for their specified calibers. That being said, you can run the HRT-762 on a 1/2x28 muzzle device - just be aware that you can only shoot .22 cal through that platform!

Take off every time to field strip pistol?? No way
Brittle material. Is that supposed to be that way?
Aluminum tube bodies, yes. Just had some invalid markings and had to be crushed
Your awesome! Marking Training Great Again. It’s all about getting out there and training, NO EXCUSES! By the way, enjoy your videos👍🏽
Aren’t those type of locking mounts not reliable in terms of surefire warcomps dead air Xeno/keymo q cherry bomb silencerco asr ect
The Gate-Lok mounting system works with any mil-spec A2 colt pattern device. This is an entirely different system than the Xeno/Keymo and other devices you mentioned. We also can't guarantee fitment if other manufacturers don't maintain mil-spec with their A2 devices being that tolerances can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer
Any plans for more hub compatible 5.56 suppressors? I love the idea of the explorr but I hear the flash capability is lacking
The flash isn't too bad on the Explorr lineup, but it's certainly not marketed as a flash-hiding suppressor. However, our Explorr 300 line does better at hiding flash on 5.56 platforms than the Explorr 224. As of now, these are our only hub compatible 5.56 suppressors
@@GriffinArmamentOfficial really? I was always told a larger bore would equal larger flash
Lol the infantry guys getting bullied into trading stocks
I don't know what's worse, his inability to pull the charge handle while shouldering the weapon system or his poor excuse of a goatee.
I think you guys should send some samples to pew science
Do any of these muzzle devices help reduce the flash signature overall? Got my HRT out of jail today but I’m currently a month into waiting for the close tined flash hider. Contemplating getting the tactical compensator for better functionality/availability. Anyone got any experience with either of these muzzle devices?
The Tactical Compensator is a great choice, but you'll get better flash reduction using one of our flash hiders. We suggest looking into the Flash Comp!
Hey how AYA
Good ol Bernie Mac!
Should you sight yourself guns in with the suppressor on or off?
Sub….. full power ammo…. Is that really a thing?
"Full power" in a sense of grain and functionality in our testing. Remington is the "full power" 220 grain subsonic while some S&B ammunition is lower grain, sounding quieter when suppressed but causing issues with cycling, as demonstrated. With the 220 grain you don't have to deprecate the power of the ammo
@@GriffinArmamentOfficial so same powder charge “ full power” but it’s sub sonic due to projectile weight?
This was a 300 BO right?
Correct
My Griffin HRT 5.56 should be delivered to me on Friday. I bought your spring+buffer combination for my 11.5 Criterion build. I figured if I'm gonna run your suppressor I should at least try it with your buffer because I'm assuming it was designed to function as a system. I'm not in a hurry to replace my barrel but its definitely not overgassed imo. I also ordered a Duel Lok Compensator. Does the Duel Lok compensator function as a "sacrificial baffle"? It's not technically a muzzle brake so I don't know if it counts. I am really hoping the HRT 5.56 is a lot less gassy than my OCL Polonium K lmao.
Yes, the Dual-Lok compensator (assuming you're talking about the Tactical Compensator) will help protect that first baffle and act in some way as a sacrificial baffle. Also, the HRT performs very well all around but isn't designed as a flow-through can. Nevertheless, we've heard and seen positive feedback on the gas performance.
@@GriffinArmamentOfficialIs there a reason to have a muzzle device with sacrificial baffle or does it not really matter?
Muzzle devices that act as a sacrificial baffle are there to extend the life of your suppressor, and are typically small muzzle brakes that we ship with the purchase of your suppressor. If you were to buy a flash hider or something of a similar design, it could put more pressure onto your blast chamber and wear down your baffles quicker over time than a brake or some compensators would. The point of a brake and some compensators is to direct gas to the side rather than ejecting it all forward like a flash hider.
Who's talking that talk!?
Adjustable gas block but I see your point
'Nuff said 😂
Your products are awesome 👌
Thank you!
